I'm giving this a 1 because it's VERY deceptively marketed. It's plastered all over the site that it's FREE, yet, strangely it's $19.99 in the Store. So in this case it's Free as in "we won't ask you to pay before you download it" but not actually free any any real sense that you would associate with software.
Don't have a problem with paying for good software, DO have a problem with misleading marketing. If it's not free, say so.

Testing on my laptop. They added some incredibly annoying GPU ACTIVITY MONITOR thing that shows up in the Notification area and no matter how many times I try to toggle it off, it keeps coming back on its own.
How many little junky things are they going to add and not allow us to properly disable / turn off?
I just want the DRIVER - not all the extra junk that they are putting in. PLEASE let us have the option of NOT installing anything but the core driver. And test all your updates to confirm that they work properly, cause I can't toggle that thing off, and I can't get it to disappear from the context menu either.

Excellent program, not perfect.
Text is horrendous. Seems to have a slow refresh frequency, causing the text to appear thin and jumpy with insufficient contrast. Selecting larger font and using Windows ClearType feature doesn't help.
Tray icon is so annoying I turned it off, not very useful to me anyway, you may find it useful.
I love the initial security scan, I wish it could be used every time I start the program. Maybe there's a way to change that option in the INI file!
Gets 4.5/5! Highly recommended!

I previously used RevoUninstaller. Smarty ups the ante a bit detecting recently installed apps and "possibly broken installations", it will also finish incomplete uninstalls.
My only real criticism is its fairly slow and long routine when it starts.
No big deal that it calls the programs uninstaller and runs it!
I let it detect all the rubbish left behind - folders, shortcuts and registry entries and let it clean out the lot. So far (!) it hasn't broken anything - and I've used it a lot over 5 or 6 months - so i'd say it is very safe and reliable - whether it (or Revo for that matter - actually cleans everything out - I'm not about to go hunting through the registry!
Hard to get too excited about this program - mainly because it does what it is supposed to do without too much fuss. An added benefit (which they don't tell you about) is that it comes bundled with a very good and simple process inspector, a secure deletion tool, and a startup manager.
Runs flawlessly on Win7 too.

Abacre Restaurant Point of Sale is a new generation of restaurant management software. It is a complete solution, beginning with taking orders from patrons, and ending with billing and tax reports. The user interface is carefully optimized for high speed input of a patron's order and the prevention of common mistakes. It's designed for using on multiple computers, and contains reliable and secure authorization levels. The layouts of the guest bill can be customized, and the program can be set up for any currencies, taxes, and gratuities. Payments can be accepted by cash, credit cards, or checks. For managers, there is a rich set of reports that shows a complete picture of restaurant operations and life cycles: menu consumption, reservation frequency, hours of high restaurant load, busiest tables, most active employees, payment methods, and automatic tax calculations. By standardizing the entire restaurant management process, the software radically improves serving speed.

Sorry, just isn't useful. I do Virtual Tours as part of my company's offerings. I use PTGui.
While this is free, it lacks the advanced options that are essential for me to actually complete a tour. I've tried several sets and while it can figure out some, when your set doesn't work, you're screwed. PTGui allows control point editing and all of the needed features that will get you from a hopeless set of photos to a full set. Stitching areas of plain sky or blank walls etc -- those tough situations.
I'll keep my eye on this project as I have no love for PTGui beyond the fact that it -does- the job. I was actually excited about this, but much like the auto stitching tool in Photoshop, it just doesn't cut it.

So I only can reume, LibreOffice is simply for those people, who are brave enough to risk even severe data loss. Not only the last letter has been killed, also some *.ott (which means Templates), which I now can create completely new - very b a d!
I wanted to give LO a 'chance', but under the given circumstances I'll removit from my disk.
All of you, who go on using it: Make security copies of every single file you use and - important - don't open these copies directly with LO (so that the path to these copies can't be found by LO), but copy the to your working folder.
Also I had several severe problems using a very simple printer... with files, I worked without any problem before (*odt).
Perhaps I give it a try after a major update (4.0 or so), but for now I'm fed up with this software, which generated a few hours of u n e c e s s a r y work.

You can tell it's a beta. It has some screen artifact issues (moving the mouse over all the text, etc cleans it up), lacks some IMAP folder functions (like being able to hide folders locally while leaving them still existing on the IMAP server), lacks some feedback options (such as detailed status when checking multiple accounts) and it's about 40% bigger than version 3.1
Still, it's promising. I'll test it on one machine but probably use 3.1 on all the others.

Basically, Process Lasso is a VERY VERY light weighted software. I have tried several other similar softwares, but they really cannot achieve what Process Lasso can achieve. Basically, Foreground Process Thread Priority Boost is unique, and cannot be found in other similar type of softwares. One software called "Process Priority Master" which claims itself to be the best, I have tried it myself but it's nothing but just a bloatware, a real example of bloatware. It takes like 30%+ CPU in the background all the time !!! Jeremy never claims his softwares are the best, because Jeremy has a good and professional attitude, which we all should learn from him. I can tell, no other similar softwares up to the current date, performs better than Process Lasso.

These seem to cause trouble on my Windows XP systems but help on my Windows 7 system. Mixed bag, as usual.
Given that Microsoft has pretty much ripped out the sound code and rewrote it all in software, and that multi-core systems are in place in many homes, onboard sound can give very, very good results compared to dedicated cards.
Given how inconsistent Creative drivers have been over the years, it's no wonder that most people are not upset about the change in the way sound is processed in Vista and Win 7 and the push for onboard sound has taken hold so substantially .
Regardless, I'm not that happy about the combined codec download and codebase. I wish that they would optimize code for each chipset on each platform. As it is, if they tweak stuff for Win 7, they sometimes goof up something in Windows XP, and that kinda sucks.
But it is what it is and it works ok for now I guess. I can always just leave the XP systems at the earlier versions.

I love this tool, and have been using this for a long time. A couple of things:
When I select a process from the process list, the list scrolls to bring my selection to the center (or as close to the center as it can). There may be users who find that feature nice - so, maybe you guys can add an option to turn scrolling on/off?
Also, is there an option to hide or turn off the left pane? Or maybe switch between having a pane or showing them as tabs (as in the older version). I don't want part of my window being taken up by a pane that I don't need after I have made my selection. In the pane itself, there are expand/collapse buttons, but it doesn't allow me to collapse a section.
Under some of the sections like Modules, Services, Drivers etc, clicking on View --> Select Columns... throws an error saying "Active control does not support this function!", whereas I can still right click on the list and select/unselect columns that I want. The first two were more of "feature requests" while this third one is probably a bug in the code somewhere.
Thanks!

Not to be argumentative, but.......
You're obviously not using php v4 Windows, and I am.
There is no fix for this yet, nor will there be it seems.
Why am I still using v4 ? because every one of my realtime Linux website servers is still using it along with mysql 3 or 4.
EVERY one.
They don't seem to be using any PHPMyAdmin later than 2.10+, either.
Why am I downgrading PHPMyAdmin?

Unfortunately I have already uninstalled everything that I had found useless, for me to try out this feature.

Actually johnk119, the controversy started when BitTorrent bought utorrent and not because it's user base has grown slightly. It always has been rather popular.
With the old utorrent I could minimize it to my tray and let it do its thing while I did mine. With these versions I notice it impeding on what I'm doing. It's definately getting a little resource hungry and that was one of the main reasons I used it over Azerus. I also noticed that when finished with it my bandwidth was still very sluggish. I had to reboot my modem and router but as soon as I used this version the bandwidth was throttled again.
I've gone back to 1.6.1 and have no more issues with my system and my bandwidth. Looks like I'll be sticking with that seeing the direction they are taking this software.
Lock Folder Lock File! gives you a whole new level of security, allowing you to lock access to specific files, entire folders, or even entire drives. It also allows you to protect your Windows desktop from unauthorized modification and all the features of the program can be easily accessed from the system tray. This way, only you will have access to the files you protect by using your master password which you specify when you set up the security options.

I have tested both Recover My Files and Recuva extensively. Recover My Files is far superior and discovers far more recoverable files than Recuva does. In all fairness, however, Recuva IS FREE, so that accounts for a lot. RMF should be priced less than it is, for sure. $70. is WAY out of line for a file recovery utility. The author would be far better off charging, say $20. and having far fewer people using cracked copies of it. My opinion, of course. The only reason I gave this a '3' instead of a '5' is the absurd price...

@Urinal - it sounds like you have a Boot Sector Virus \ Root kit. You probably got this from using 'keygens' to get a serial for programs instead of actually buying them. 'Mil Shield’ perhaps?
Norton do an excellent free Malware removal tool that should sort it. This is the only logical conclusion to your many spyware outbreaks as you will be redirected to crap if you have such Malware on your PC. I would also recommend you buying the full version of ‘Malwarebytes’ or ‘Prevx’ which should prevent re-infection.
One of your many (5 as I know of) clean installs will not help as the Virus will survive by hiding in the boot sector & will resist a format. This answer is free, unfortunately I'm going to have to charge you for more advice @ £350 GBP per day.
